This villa, set in the heart of Canggu, is ideal for a large group who do not wish to split up. And by large we mean as many as 24 people comfortably accommodated in the villa’s 12 bedrooms!
How would you feel if we told you that for the next few days you will stay in a ‘Rice Barn Temple’? No, we are not joking, the huts Mojo 12 bedroom resort are a copy of a Buddhist Temple found in Prambanan. ‘Lumbung Candi’ in the Javanese language actually means: ‘Rice Barn Temple’. And since you will be living in a temple, you should not expect any less than to be treated like royalty!
First of all, the villa is just off the main street of Canggu. This is just a two minute bike or car ride from the many hipster cafés and bars in the area. Also, making clever use of the space, the six Lumbung huts all face the huge villa pool. This means that you will be able to take your coffee on your room balcony overlooking the pool.
If you are a couple, you can choose from the six double rooms upstairs. For the single ones, there are six twin rooms downstairs. Make full use of the villa’s comfy Chill Pavillion overlooking the pool. From your morning coffee to your afternoon beers this is the place to be. Engage in deep conversations that seem of utmost importance after the 6th beer and that you won’t remember in the morning.
You can sit back and relax on the sunbeds by the pool, while watching your kids happily playing in the pool. Make sure you take advantage of the villa’s central location. Rent a scooter or order a grab and go to the beach, only 1.5km away, and suntan all day long!

The Neighbourhood:
With so many cafés, restaurants and bars down the road, one thing is sure, you will not run short of choice. Start your day at the Avocado Factory famous for its avocado specialties. If you are a croissant lover, try Monsieur Spoon just next door. And for the best coffee in town, do visit Gipsy Kitchen & Bar just off Batu Bolong Road.
For a true Indonesian experience, try Warung Bumi for lunch but make sure you go there early enough as the place is quite popular and there might be fewer options left at the buffet by two o’clock. For our vegetarian friends, Shady Shack’s vegetarian burgers and mushrooms are a must, while La Baracca next door offers the best Italian pizza.
For dinner, do not miss out on the local delicacies served at Casa Tua and if you get lucky enough you might see the rabbits jumping around in the garden. Deus does the best burgers ever. Book a table ahead and you are all sorted for your Sunday night as there is a live concert going on every Sunday. Sandbar, which is open from 12 midnight to early morning every Sunday, is your next stop, while Old Man’s remains an old time classic for Fridays.
Getting around:
We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.
